Riyadh City
Riyadh is the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia, located in the center of the Kingdom, and it is one of the fastest expanding cities in the world in terms of area, and one of the largest Arab cities in terms of area (3,115 km 2). Riyadh has a population of 6.5 million (2017). They constitute one sixth of the population of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The percentage of Saudis of the total population in Riyadh is about 68%, while non-Saudis constitute 32%. Riyadh is divided administratively into fifteen municipalities, as well as each municipality, in turn, divided into neighborhoods.
Riyadh is the first facade of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia being its political and administrative capital, and it is one of its most important cities, and it is the seat of the central government bodies, it is the headquarters of the Saudi Royal Court and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and various ministries, most of the central military and civil government bodies, and most of the major local and international companies and institutions . Riyadh has great economic importance, as it is the headquarters of public administrations for a large number of banks and major economic companies. It is also the main center of one of the largest financial cities in the world (King Abdullah Financial Center).
